NFLs Seattle Seahawks Record Prediction 2020-21
Seattle Seahawks Record Prediction
The Seattle Seahawks were looking up at the San Francisco 49ers as the NFC West champs last season and still managed to make their mark on the playoffs. I believe that they will finish with the same 11-5 record as last season, but what is different is they will finish 1st place in the division.
Pete Carroll is notorious for his defense heavy teams over the past decade, but that is no longer the case. This is Russell Wilson’s team. The offensive line does a great job at opening holes in the rushing attack, but the the same can be said for their passing attack. They do not do a great job in pass protection and a lot of the time you see Wilson running for his life. Thankfully he is a maestro and 2nd best scrambling QB in the NFL. He can do it all and has supreme confidence in his weapons.
Tyler Lockett has proved his worth and last season D.K. Metcalf had his coming out party. The Seahawks also went out and acquired the forgotten Greg Olsen. He should be an immediate impact maker along with Will Dissly who has top 10 potential if he can stay healthy.
This team will continue to run over all teams as long as Chris Carson stays healthy. 1st round pick Rashaad Penny will start the season on PUP leading to their recent signing of Carlos Hyde. I really don’t care who you put behind that line as they will continue to eat. Offensive line aside, Russell Wilson’s ability and weapons open up opposing defenses.
This is no longer a defense dominated team, but it’s still a Pete Carroll defense. They are always coached up and are always extremely stingy. As long as Bobby Wagner is at the helm, they will be nothing less than a middle of the pack defense.
The short season shifts my confidence in teams that are well coached without a lot of changes from last season. This is essentially the same roster as 2019 and is still led by Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner. Are they good enough to win the Super Bowl? I don’t think so, but it would be absurd for this team to miss the playoffs.
