This ranking measures total NFL regular-season rushing touchdowns scored from the beginning of the 2020 season through the end of the completed 2025 season.
Every rushing touchdown counts equally regardless of position. That means quarterbacks such as Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen are ranked directly alongside running backs such as Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor and Josh Jacobs. Receiving touchdowns, passing touchdowns, return touchdowns and postseason scores do not count.
Players are ranked by their rushing touchdown totals during the six-season window. Tied players share a rank, and the next rank reflects how many players appear ahead of them. That competition-ranking method produces a five-way tie at No. 10, a two-way tie at No. 17, a two-way tie at No. 20 and a two-way tie at No. 24.

T-10. Kareem Hunt: 38 Rushing Touchdowns
Kareem Hunt is part of the five-way tie at No. 10 with 38 rushing touchdowns since 2020.
Hunt accumulated those scores across 86 regular-season games during the period. He remained a productive short-yardage and goal-line option even when working as part of a backfield rotation.
His place on this leaderboard is another example of how sustained red-zone usage can keep a running back high in a cumulative touchdown ranking even without consistently ranking among the league leaders in rushing yards.
T-10. Christian McCaffrey: 38 Rushing Touchdowns
Christian McCaffrey also has 38 rushing touchdowns since 2020.
McCaffrey reached that total in only 64 regular-season games, fewer than any other player in the 38-touchdown tie. Injuries cost him substantial time early in the decade, making his cumulative total especially impressive.
His best rushing-touchdown season during this window came in 2023, when he scored 14 times on the ground while becoming the centerpiece of San Francisco’s offense.

Barkley accumulated the total across 77 games from 2020 through 2025. His production accelerated after moving to Philadelphia, where he became the focal point of one of football’s strongest rushing attacks.
His place in this tie is notable because Barkley also accumulated more than 6,000 rushing yards during the same six-season window.

Nick Chubb also scored 38 rushing touchdowns during the period.
Chubb reached the mark in 68 games and averaged 5.0 yards per carry across the six-season window. He was particularly productive early in the decade, scoring 12 rushing touchdowns in both 2020 and 2022.
A major knee injury in 2023 significantly reduced his opportunities later in the period, yet his earlier production was strong enough to keep him among the leaders.

Gibbs reached 39 touchdowns in only 49 regular-season games. He scored 10 rushing touchdowns as a rookie, followed with 16 in 2024 and added 13 during the 2025 season.

Mixon accumulated those touchdowns in 67 regular-season games. His biggest scoring year during the period came in 2021, when he rushed for 13 touchdowns with Cincinnati.
He later reached double-digit rushing touchdowns again after moving to Houston, helping him remain comfortably inside the top 10 despite playing fewer games than many players around him.
7. James Conner: 44 Rushing Touchdowns
James Conner ranks seventh with 44 rushing touchdowns.
Conner produced the total in 73 regular-season games. His biggest rushing-touchdown season came in 2021, when he scored 15 times on the ground during his first season with Arizona.
Goal-line effectiveness has been one of the defining traits of Conner’s career. Even without the rushing-yard totals of Henry or Taylor, his ability to finish drives has kept him among the decade’s touchdown leaders.
6. David Montgomery: 53 Rushing Touchdowns
David Montgomery ranks sixth with 53 rushing touchdowns since 2020.
Montgomery accumulated his total in 89 games, beginning the period with Chicago before joining Detroit in 2023. His scoring production increased after the move, including 13 rushing touchdowns in his first season with the Lions.
His 53 touchdowns create a nine-score gap between sixth place and Conner in seventh.
5. Josh Allen: 62 Rushing Touchdowns
Josh Allen ranks fifth with 62 rushing touchdowns from 2020 through 2025.
Allen is one of only two quarterbacks in the top five. His 62 scores came across 100 regular-season games, the most games played by anyone in the top five.

4. Jalen Hurts: 63 Rushing Touchdowns
Jalen Hurts ranks fourth overall with 63 rushing touchdowns.
Hurts scored more rushing touchdowns than every NFL running back except Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor and Josh Jacobs during the period. Philadelphia’s quarterback-sneak package helped make him one of football’s most reliable short-yardage scorers.
He reached double-digit rushing touchdowns in four consecutive seasons from 2021 through 2024 and finished the full period one score ahead of Allen.
3. Josh Jacobs: 67 Rushing Touchdowns
Josh Jacobs ranks third with 67 rushing touchdowns since 2020.
Jacobs accumulated the total across 92 games while playing for the Raiders and Packers. He scored 12 rushing touchdowns in 2020 and again in 2022 before reaching a career-high 15 during his first season with Green Bay in 2024.
Another 13 in 2025 pushed Jacobs to 67 for the full period, only two touchdowns behind Taylor for second place.

Taylor scored an NFL-leading 18 rushing touchdowns in 2021 and matched that total in 2025. The second 18-touchdown season moved him ahead of Jacobs and solidified second place behind Henry.

Derrick Henry leads the NFL with 84 regular-season rushing touchdowns since 2020.
Henry has built a commanding lead over the rest of the field. His 84 rushing touchdowns are 15 more than Taylor in second place and 17 ahead of Jacobs in third.
Henry opened the period by rushing for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2020. He continued producing double-digit rushing-touchdown seasons throughout most of the six-year window, including 16 in both 2024 and 2025.
Across the full period, Henry accumulated 9,185 rushing yards and 84 touchdowns in 91 games. Few modern running backs have combined workload, durability and scoring production at the same level.

Kareem Hunt, Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Nick Chubb and D’Andre Swift each scored 38 regular-season rushing touchdowns from 2020 through 2025.
