Methodology and Scope
This ranking measures total regular-season passing touchdowns accumulated from the beginning of the 2020 NFL season through the end of the completed 2025 season.
Postseason passing touchdowns are not included. Rushing touchdowns also do not count, which is especially important when evaluating dual-threat quarterbacks such as Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson.
Players are ranked strictly by passing touchdowns during the six-season window. Quarterbacks with the same total share a rank, and the next rank is skipped. This produces ties at No. 5, No. 26, No. 30, No. 32 and No. 37.
Availability is an important part of any cumulative leaderboard. Some quarterbacks played close to 100 games during this stretch, while others reached prominent positions despite losing significant time to injuries or entering the NFL well after 2020.
Top 10 NFL Passing Touchdown Leaders Since 2020
10. Lamar Jackson: 145 Passing Touchdowns
Lamar Jackson ranks 10th with 145 passing touchdowns from 2020 through 2025.
Jackson’s placement is especially notable because passing production captures only one part of his offensive value. He added substantial rushing production throughout the same period, but none of those scores count toward this leaderboard.
His biggest passing-touchdown season came in 2024, when he threw a career-high 41 touchdowns. That tied Baker Mayfield for second in the NFL behind Joe Burrow.
Jackson also posted a 6.3% passing-touchdown rate across the full six-season period, the highest rate among the quarterbacks in this top 10.
9. Dak Prescott: 146 Passing Touchdowns
Dak Prescott ranks ninth with 146 passing touchdowns, only one ahead of Jackson.
Prescott reached that total despite major injury interruptions. He played only five games in 2020 and eight in 2024, substantially reducing his opportunity to accumulate counting stats.
When healthy, his touchdown production remained strong. Prescott threw 37 touchdowns in 2021, 36 in 2023 and 30 more during the 2025 regular season.

8. Baker Mayfield: 148 Passing Touchdowns
Baker Mayfield ranks eighth with 148 passing touchdowns since 2020.
Mayfield’s path to the top 10 included stops in Cleveland, Carolina and Los Angeles before he revived his career in Tampa Bay.
The biggest boost came in 2024, when Mayfield threw 41 touchdowns and tied Lamar Jackson for second in the NFL. That season alone accounted for more than one-quarter of his six-season total.
His ranking demonstrates how quickly a quarterback can climb a cumulative leaderboard when a career turnaround produces several high-volume seasons in succession.
7. Joe Burrow: 157 Passing Touchdowns
Joe Burrow ranks seventh with 157 passing touchdowns despite playing only 77 regular-season games during the window.
Burrow’s best season came in 2024, when he led the NFL with 43 touchdown passes while also leading the league in passing yards.
His 157 touchdowns across 77 games work out to approximately 2.04 passing touchdowns per game, the highest rate among the quarterbacks in this top 10.
Injuries kept Burrow’s cumulative total below several quarterbacks who played considerably more games, but his per-game production shows why the raw ranking does not tell the entire story.
T-5. Justin Herbert: 163 Passing Touchdowns
Justin Herbert is tied for fifth with 163 passing touchdowns.
Herbert entered the NFL in 2020, meaning his entire career through the 2025 season fits inside this statistical window. He immediately threw 31 touchdowns as a rookie and followed that with a career-high 38 in 2021.
He accumulated his 163 touchdowns in 95 games while throwing 58 interceptions. Herbert’s combination of availability and consistent passing volume has kept him among the decade’s cumulative leaders from the beginning of his career.
T-5. Aaron Rodgers: 163 Passing Touchdowns
Aaron Rodgers shares fifth place with Herbert at 163 passing touchdowns.
Rodgers opened the period with one of the most efficient quarterback seasons in NFL history. He threw 48 touchdowns against only five interceptions in 2020 and won the league MVP award.
Those 48 touchdowns remain the highest single-season total produced by anyone on this top-10 leaderboard during the 2020-through-2025 window.
Rodgers also accumulated his 163 touchdowns despite recording zero in 2023 after an Achilles injury ended his Jets debut almost immediately. His 6.1% touchdown rate ranks second among the top 10 behind Jackson.

4. Matthew Stafford: 167 Passing Touchdowns
Matthew Stafford ranks fourth with 167 passing touchdowns since 2020.
Stafford began the statistical window with Detroit before joining the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. His first season in Los Angeles produced 41 regular-season touchdown passes and eventually a Super Bowl championship.
His biggest season of the period came much later. Stafford led the NFL with 46 touchdown passes in 2025 and won the AP NFL Most Valuable Player award.
That late-career surge moved Stafford ahead of Rodgers and Herbert and left him only two touchdowns behind Goff for third place.
3. Jared Goff: 169 Passing Touchdowns
Jared Goff ranks third with 169 passing touchdowns.
Goff began the period with the Rams before moving to Detroit in 2021. His touchdown production accelerated as the Lions developed into one of the NFL’s strongest offenses.
He threw 29 touchdowns in 2022, 30 in 2023 and then reached 37 in 2024. Goff followed that with another 34 touchdown passes in 2025.
His durability has played a major role in his ranking. Goff appeared in 97 regular-season games during the window, allowing him to accumulate more touchdowns than several quarterbacks with stronger per-attempt rates.
2. Josh Allen: 190 Passing Touchdowns
Josh Allen ranks second with 190 passing touchdowns, only one behind Mahomes.
The 2020 season marked Allen’s breakout as a high-volume passer. He threw 37 touchdowns that year, followed with 36 in 2021 and 35 in 2022.
Allen maintained that production while also being one of the most prolific rushing quarterbacks in football. His rushing touchdowns are excluded here, meaning his total offensive scoring contribution during the period is considerably larger than 190.
He played 100 regular-season games from 2020 through 2025, the most of any quarterback in this top 10, and enters the next season within a single passing touchdown of the lead.

Mahomes reached that total in 95 games, five fewer than Allen, while averaging just over two touchdown passes per game.
His biggest season during the window came in 2022. Mahomes led the NFL with 41 touchdown passes, threw for 5,250 yards and won the league MVP award.
