Los Angeles Rams Record Prediction & Game-By-Game Breakdown 2021-22

If Matthew Stafford was the Quarterback for the Rams in 2019, I can guarantee they put up more than 3 points. While some people think Jared Goff is overhated, I believe he is still overrated. Sean McVay is arguably the most gifted offensive minds in the NFL and masked how incapable Jared Goff is as a Quarterback. Finally he has a QB in Matthew Stafford who can open up his offense.

It helps especially considering his weapons. Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp are one of the best WR duos in the NFL with Tyler Higbee as a solid security blanket. Stafford will really show what this offense is capable of.

The Rams offensive line made some serious strides in 2020 and PFF ranked them as the third best group in the NFL. This will carry into 2021 which will not only help Stafford but their rushing attack.

Every year I predict the breakout player of the year and I believe that player in 2021 will be Cam Akers. He was lights out in the post-season as a rookie and with Malcolm Brown departing in free agency the door is even more open for him to get the lion share of touches.

On the defensive side of the ball the Rams lost a few notable players such as John Johnson, Troy Hill and Morgan Fox which does hurt. That being said they still have their superstars in Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald which is the backbone of this defense.

They also re-signed Darious Williams who I think is one of the more underrated defensive players in the NFL. He finally got his chance to shine last season and complimented Jalen Ramsey very well.

While it might be tough for the Rams to retain their spot as a top 3 defense, the offense improved so drastically that they don’t need to. Looking at the Rams as a whole, I believe they got a lot better and are one of the more exciting teams to watch next season.
