This is the year. Yes, you heard me right. This is the year that someone other than the New England Patriots comes out on top of the AFC East. That team will be the Buffalo Bills.
This is a team built on their defense, and that’s still the case. It’s a gritty team that makes you earn every yard both in the pass and run game.
In the secondary, look no further than Tre’Davious White who many claim to be the best Cornerback in the NFL. He leads this secondary that was 4th in passing yards allowed and 3rd in passing touchdowns allowed. Their run defense isn’t as dominant, but was still the 10th best in rushing yards allowed.
It was their improvement on offense that was the nail in the coffin for their rise over the Patriots. Stefon Diggs is one of the most talented Wide Receivers in the NFL, and having him across speedster John Brown is the perfect compliment for Josh Allen’s rocket arm.
They also added Zach Moss who is the replacement for Frank Gore, but I don’t think they will win with their rushing attack. Neither Zach Moss or Devin Singletary are good enough to be top 10 running backs, and all fate lies on the shoulders of Josh Allen.
There have been some Josh Allen blunders, but what young QB doesn’t have those moments. With better decision making, Josh Allen leads this team over the hump.
The Bills are going all-in and improved on their already great team. All of their moves point upwards and i’m confident that they will be the new winners in the AFC East. It might be a little bullish on my part, but they are 6th in my NFL power rankings.
