Best Quarterbacks in the NFL – #4 Drew Brees

#4 – Drew Brees

If Drew Brees played the full season, he no undoubtedly would have led the NFL in passing touchdowns. You think of players so good that they will play well into their 40’s and Drew Brees is on that list. He is that good. One of the GOATs.

After a Week 2 hand injury, it took until week 10 for Brees to return. He was lights out from that point on minus a mediocre performance against the Falcons. Quietly he makes history again with the 2nd highest completion percentage ever – 0.2% away from beating his own record.

Don’t be the one to judge a player based off his last game. Brees lost in the first round of the playoffs, but still had a 78.7 completion percentage. There is no better Quarterback to be at the helm of the New Orleans Saints offense next season. Drew Brees will continue to lead one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL.

Best Quarterbacks in the NFL – #3 Lamar Jackson

#3 – Lamar Jackson

I know what you’re thinking, “How dare you rank the reigning MVP #3 on this list?!” You know what… I don’t regret it one bit.

Let me preface by saying, Lamar Jackson is nothing we have seen before. There is no Quarterback in NFL history who is as dangerous as Lamar when it comes to running the football. His jukes and spins are so effortless and even seeing Mike Vick, Lamar is on another level when it comes to making guys miss.

We saw a massive leap forward for Lamar Jackson this season. In his rookie year we saw him struggle to get a rhythm even on simple underneath routes. The Ravens rushing attack was used as a crutch, but no longer.

He is now trusted in the passing game and takes shots down field much more often. I went back and forth with him as 2nd or 3rd on this list, but ultimately it was his inability to make big time throws that kept him in the #3 slot. I need to see him be able to make those tight windowed throws to be in the truly elite category.
