Top 10 Fastest NFL Players 2020 – #5 Marquise Brown

#5 – Marquise Brown

Marquise Brown was unable to participate in the official NFL combine due to a foot injury, but he publicly stated that he was aiming to beat John Ross’ record for the fastest 40 yard dash time ever. I have no reason to doubt Hollywood Brown as in only 1 season he has put on display his game-breaking speed.

He is still a little raw, but this is after all the cousin of Antonio Brown. Say what you want about AB, but he brings a competitive nature and attention to detail that Marquise Brown can learn from. If he continues to work with AB, there is no doubt in my mind that he will become a more fluid route runner and better Wide Receiver because of it.

#4 – Saquon Barkley

I talked about Christian McCaffrey being the best running back, but I think Saquon Barkley gives him a run for his money in terms of versatility. I believe that Saquon Barkley is the most athletically gifted and talented running back in the NFL when healthy.

His ankle injury in week 3 looked terrible and quite frankly looked like it could end his season. Somehow this freak of nature let that injury keep him sidelined for only 3 games. You could see it was still effecting his play, but i’m not going to let that cloud my opinion of his talent.

If we get a healthy Saquon Barkley next season, I think he has the potential to regain the throne as the best running back in the NFL. His combination of speed, quickness and power is uncanny.

Honorable Mention – Marquise Goodwin

If we’re talking strictly combine metrics, Marquise Goodwin would be in the top 5. This is an Olympic level athlete who crushes athletic analytics. The problem lies with this list accounting for in-game speed, and he isn’t that great of a Wide Receiver.

I’m not saying the speed doesn’t completely transfer over with pads on, but it’s clear that Marquise Goodwin isn’t that talented of a football player. He was blessed with elite athleticism, but recorded under 200 yards in 9 games this season.
