Top 10 Fastest Players in the NFL 2020 – Honorable Mention Cordarrelle Patterson
Honorable Mention – Cordarrelle Patterson
Cordarrelle Patterson has bounced around recently being on 4 different teams over the past 4 seasons, but I think he may have found a long term home with the Chicago Bears. Teams viewed him as strictly a return specialist, but the Bears the value of this athletic freak.
Patterson is still viewed as the return specialist furthering his case as the best kickoff returner ever, but his role has expanded. The Bears have tried him around in many positions and you saw him go from rushing the football to being one of the best gunners on punts. To no surprise he was rewarded with all-pro honors for special teams.

Top 10 Fastest NFL Players 2020 – #7 Odell Beckham
#7 – Odell Beckham
People love to hate Odell Beckham, but objectively speaking he is one of the fastest NFL players.
Many will buy into the click-bait titles about him demanding a trade and I find many of the rumors hard to believe. Here is who I believe – Baker Mayfield. Baker came out and said that Odell was playing through injury all season, and pairing that with the fact that he was joining a brand new offense, I understand why he struggled.
I don’t even know if struggling is the right word because he still recorded over 1000 yards. The problem lies with many putting him on a pedestal.
Even considering all the above, Odell clocked in with the 11th fastest top speed for ball carriers last season. He is still an athletic freak, and it would not shock me at all if he has a massive bounce back season in 2020.

Top 10 Fastest Players in the NFL 2020 – #6 Matt Breida
#6 – Matt Breida
Matt Breida never enters the conversation as one of the fastest running backs in the NFL, but the proof is in the pudding. Not only did Matt Breida lead the NFL in top speed for ball carriers in 2018, but followed up by leading the NFL again in 2020.
The Dolphins got a steal in Breida as his lackluster performance last season has more to do with the overcrowded backfield in San Francisco than his lack of talent. I can’t see him being an every down running back for the Dolphins, but he will get his fair share of work. Expect Matt Breida to have one of his better seasons in 2020.
