Top 10 Fastest NFL Players 2020 – #10 Lamar Jackson
#10 – Lamar Jackson
What a way to start this list… with a Quarterback. This is a perfect example of why I couldn’t just base this list off combine metrics. Lamar Jackson avoided running the 40 yard dash at the combine to avoid being classified as a potential Wide Receiver or Running Back.
You don’t need the combine metrics to see that Lamar Jackson is one of the fastest players in the NFL. He is far from the most accurate thrower, but he more than makes it up being so far ahead athletically.
This is the best running Quarterback since Michael Vick and the rightful winner of the MVP award last season.

Top 10 Fastest Players in the NFL 2020 – #9 DeSean Jackson
#9 – DeSean Jackson
DeSean Jackson only played 2 full games last season. That’s all I needed to see to know that he still has it. When healthy, DeSean is still the take the top off the defense burner that we all know and love.
He has a rightful spot on my list of fastest NFL players ever, and even at 33 years old I still think he has an elite level of speed. There is no doubt that he has passed his prime, but there were consecutive seasons of him being regarded as the far and away fastest NFL player. Even with the regression, he is still one of the most lethal deep threats.
In addition he is more proof that the 40 yard dash is not the only way to determine a players speed. He underwhelmed with his 4.35 40 yard dash, but it’s clear he plays much faster than that with pads on.

Top 10 Fastest NFL Players 2020 – #8 Christian McCaffrey
#8 – Christian McCaffrey
Christian McCaffrey is now the highest paid NFL running back and the Panthers should be patting themselves on the back with that extension. There is no doubt in my mind that McCaffrey is the best running back in the NFL considering he is unmatched in terms of versatility. In 2018 he broke the record for most catches by a running back and followed up in 2019 by re-breaking that record.
The NFL has evolved and it makes sense the highest paid running backs are the ones that can do more than just pound the ball in between the tackles. That is why you don’t see much of a market for a guy like Leonard Fournette.
McCaffrey has developed into one of the best open field runners in the game. With that title comes an elite level of speed, quickness and power. Not only will he become the best white running back in NFL history, but if he keeps breaking records he could become one of the best running backs ever.
