Before his loss to Henry Cejudo, many ranked Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson as the greatest pound for pound fighter. While I do think it does tarnish his legacy, I can’t justify moving him out of the top 5.
Since becoming the flyweight champion, Johnson defended his title a record 11 times. He isn’t a flashy knockout finisher, but a championship round type of fighter. He would often go the distance and his elite conditioning would be the difference.
Demetrious Johnson could very well re-take his title and if he does expect him moving into my top 5.

#3 – Jon Jones
Don’t count his disqualification loss. Jon Jones hasn’t loss a single fight in the UFC. Speaking from a pure talent standpoint, I would not fault anyone for ranking him as their best fighter ever. In his prime he was knocking out some of the best ever opening up title fights with flying knees.
I gave my love to Daniel Cormier at #6 on my list and it was clear he was no match for Jones. In both fights D.C. got dominated by the clearly superior fighter. Here is the grey area though. How much can we look into their second fight when Jon Jones failed his drug test? How much should I allow his failed tests and even DUIs effect his ranking on this list?
The answer is #3 on this list. In his last fight he barely squeaked by in a decision win. He looked much more hesitant than usual and there are recent talks of him never fighting again.
I acknowledge his greatness, but I think he has more to prove to move up to 1 or 2 on this list. He is still only 32 years old and if he is truly the greatest of all-time he should be able to get it together and defend his title. He is only 1 title defense away from overcoming Demetrious Johnson for the most title defenses ever.
