BEST PLAYERS IN THE SUPER BOWL
These are the best players in the Super Bowl. Unlike the MVP award, this isn’t just a best QBs and everybody else list. This is the actualy best players in Super Bowl 56.
#1 – Aaron Donald
His three Defensive Player of the Year awards speak for themselves. Aaron Donald commands double teams and even that isn’t a guarantee to stop him. This Bengals offensive line is in for a rude awakening.
#2 – Jalen Ramsey
Hate him or love him, he is the best cornerback in the NFL today. Expect him to be making a lot of noise on the field and with his mouth on Sunday.
#3 – Cooper Kupp
First it was the best defensive lineman in the NFL, then the best cornerback and now the best Wide Receiver? (Davante Adams says hello) The Rams are stacked with top end talent and Cooper Kupp will be force fed as per usual.
#4 – Joe Burrow
It’s a very close matchup between Joe Burrow and Matthew Stafford. I give the edge to Joe Burrow because he is making the most out of a lackluster offensive line.
#5 – Matthew Stafford
Like I said above, I would not fault you at all for having Stafford above Burrow. Ultimately I think Joe Burrow is more talented, but the experience of Stafford has clearly been playing off this playoff run.
#6 – Ja’Marr Chase
No rookie should be able to transition this seamlessly into the pro level especially not after a full year off football. Ja’Marr Chase is fresh off a 1500 yard, 13 touchdown season averaging an astounding 18 yards per reception. I can’t wait to see him face off against Ramsey.
#7 – Joe Mixon
There has been a lot of hype building about this Bengals passing attack, but not enough people are talking about Joe Mixon and they need to start. Don’t be surprised if he had a multi touchdown game like he did against Tennessee.
#8 – Jessie Bates
I thought Jessie Bates took a step back this season from last. This playoffs he has proved me wrong. When it has really come down to it, Jessie Bates has been playing lights out for this Bengals secondary.
#9 – Trey Hendrickson
The Saints lost Hendrickson to the Bengals and got absolutely nothing in return. The Bengals on the other hand now have a pass rushing machine. I may have just talked myself into betting Trey Hendrickson +0.5 sacks for Super Bowl 56.
#10 – Andrew Whitworth
This man is 40 freaking years old. Huh? There are rumors of him retiring, but he is still playing at an elite level. This Rams offensive line was a top 5 group in the NFL largely due to this extremely large man.
Honorable Mention – Von Miller
Speaking of pass rushing machines, Von Miller could not have been a better all-in acquisition for the Rams this season. You could easily have him ranked over Whitworth.
Honorable Mention – Odell Beckham
Odell Beckham absolutely cooking for the Rams only makes me laugh at the Browns even more. Another perfect all-in acquisition after the Robert Woods injury.
Honorable Mention – Tee Higgins
Ja’Marr Chase gets all the hype, but Tee Higgins is the perfect compliment. He continues to make some really tough catches.
