Tampa Bay Buccaneers Record Prediction 2020

I have already caught loads of hate for my optimism toward the Buccaneers going into next season ranking them 2nd on my NFL power rankings. Sorry guys, i’m not backing down. I think they made all the right moves this off-season, and I don’t buy the comparison to the Browns hype train last season.

First off, Baker Mayfield vs Tom Brady isn’t even comparable. Tom Brady brings a winning culture and attitude that is contagious and that can not be understated.

The difference between Freddie Kitchens and Bruce Arians is also outrageous. Bruce Arians is one of the best offensive minds in the NFL and is a dream matchup with Brady.

All the talk was about the Browns receiving duo in Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry, but Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are even better. This is all not even mentioning that the Bucs have the best Tight End core in the NFL.

Bruce Arians is sneakily one of the best coaches in the NFL and their additions put this already great offense over the top. Arians lives by airing out the football and i’m sure Tom Brady is chomping at the bit to show off his new weapons. This is the best supporting cast he has had around them since going 16-0 in 2007.

Their defense is upward trending with some fantastic young talent. Devin White is a superstar on the rise and will be the undisputed DPOY for the Bucs. Their secondary leaves me very worried, but don’t overlook the fact that they were the best defense against the run next season. If their secondary can become serviceable next season, I don’t think 14-2 is a stretch at all.

Starting week 1 away against the New Orleans Saints will raise a lot of eyebrows, but look past it. I think they will have a turnaround after week 1 and become elite.
