NFL Power Rankings 2020

NFL Power Rankings (After the NFL Draft)

#13 – Green Bay Packers

The Packers completely dropped the ball in the NFL draft. They had the worst draft of any team in the NFL and didn’t make their team any better. Pass protection looks to be a problem and I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Aaron Rodgers gets shipped out of Green Bay after next season.

#14 – Cleveland Browns

The Browns were completely over-hyped last season and shattered expectations in the worst way possible. I think they will settle down and become a solid team. They are still a talent filled team with massive potential. A big problem was their offensive line and it just got a lot better.

#15 – Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals played much better than their 5 wins last season. Kyler Murray should take strides forward this season and they armed him with a top 5 Wide Receiver in the NFL with DeAndre Hopkins. They also added athletic freak Isaiah Simmons in the draft who will make an immediate impact.

#16 – New England Patriots

I’m not buying all these reports about Jarrett Stidham being a franchise Quarterback. I don’t think it’s in the Patriots nature to tank, but I also can’t see them making the playoffs this season. They have been the most dominant team over this past decade and that can’t last forever. Bill Belichick may completely shatter this prediction, but the team lost some of their best players on offense and defense.

#17 – Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings lost some of their best players this off-season, but followed up with an amazing NFL draft. They traded down allowing for them to acquire many assets. Stefon Diggs is a massive loss, but expect Justin Jefferson to fill in quite nicely.

#18 – Tennessee Titans

People are going to hate this ranking, but I think the Titans are one of the most overrated teams in the NFL. They traded away a key piece of their defense in Jurrell Casey, and lost Jack Conklin to the Browns. They won by playing safe and controlling the clock with a lead, but I think they will be trailing much more this season.

#19 – New York Giants

The New York Giants might be the most underrated team in the NFL. I ranked them 19th, but I loved what they did this off-season. They used their 4th overall pick to draft what they saw as the best offensive tackle of the draft and followed up by getting a potential superstar safety in Xavier McKinney. This is a team to watch.

#20 – Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons had a massive turnaround over the second half of the season, but had some awful dud games. This team is just good and they did themselves no favors this off-season. There was a lot of buzz them moving up in the draft to grab an elite defensive player, but they stayed put and had what I think was one of the worst drafts.

#21 – Las Vegas Raiders

A lot of people hated on their pick of Henry Ruggs, but I think he is more refined than people think. They also made it their mission this off-season to improve their biggest weakness in the linebacking core and succeeded.

#22 – Houston Texans

Bill O’Brian will be fired very soon. Some people still believe in David Johnson, but not me. I love Deshaun Watson, but O’Brian did him no favors this off-season. I think he will be running for his life as the Texans completely flop after a solid 2019 season.
