#7 – Kenny Golladay
You really saw the full potential of Golladay last season when Matthew Stafford was at the helm. Stafford only played for 8 weeks, but over that span Golladay scored 6 touchdowns. If you don’t already classify him as a superstar, you need to change your tone right now.
Once Stafford called it a season, Golladay was equally impressive. He had David Blough and Jeff Driskel throwing to him for the next 8 games and scored another 4 touchdowns. That allowed him to finish as the touchdown reception leader last season.
Going into the 2020-21 season, I’m under the assumption Matthew Stafford will return as the starting Quarterback. Golladay is clearly his #1 target and I think the Lions will be playing from behind most of the season.
#6 – Chris Godwin
I talked about how I can’t see Tom Brady chucking up the ball as much as Jameis Winston, but again, this will lead to a more efficient offense. If it hurts anyone it’s Mike Evans because I see Chris Godwin as the more complete Wide Receiver who dominate at the short to intermediate level. Tom Brady is a much more methodical Quarterback who will mesh perfectly with Godwin who is a very underrated route runner.
Last season Chris Godwin had the 3rd most receiving yards and touchdowns. He clearly has the talent to be an elite Wide Receiver and I see both Godwin and Evans dominating in a different fashion as last season. Coach Bruce Arians loves throwing the football and I’m not sure if you can rely on their rushing attack.
Honorable – Mention Stefon Diggs
Last season we saw the frustration of Stefon Diggs. He was not happy in Minnesota and I think a lot of that has to do with his competitive nature. Diggs knew he was the best Wide Receiver for the Vikings and wanted to be targeted as such. This off-season he was shipped to the Buffalo Bills.
I’m sure there will be a mob of people demanding for Stefon Diggs in the top 10, but not me. While I do believe in Josh Allen, he is not as accurate of a passer as Kirk Cousins, but has a bigger arm. Diggs won’t be as efficient, but I think he will get more chances deep across from deep threat John Brown.
